This was kinda fun on my other journal so I'll do it here, too.

Here's the deal. I've seen this floating around LJ land the past few days and I guess I'd like to participate. What you'll do is ask me any question you want (in the comments section), ANY question at all, and I'll screen the comments. No one besides you and me will know what you asked - then I'll answer them one by one in a separate LJ entry. No matter what the question is. So the cool thing is that you'll get your question answered, but no one will know who asked what. Could be fun. So let's try.

Ready?
Go.

Heavy in high-schoolish-live-journal-jargon, but still relevant.

Let me just say that it's really really nice to be able to eat my reasonably-caloried meals without having unbearable pains in my teeth. It's just so much more enjoyable. Drinking my fat free water and guzzling my low carb beer are also far more enjoyable experiences.*

For those of you just joining us, I've had some dental work done recently and I'm finally done with 99.9% of it. My dentist was pretty great, actually, and although she did an excellent job of draining my wallet, she was very patient with me and made sure I didn't feel anything but fluffy and giggly (thanks to the gas she let me huff).

So yeah.
No-fucking-tooth-pain rocks my world today.

*All views expressed here are not necessarily the views of most of our dieting public, but rather one crazyass fat kid that wants to be a more conscious eater. Terming this change in eating as "dieting" is not an option for said crazyass fat kid due to harmful social implications and the ever present fear of becoming a dieting drone. (Dieting drones are the people we all know that can't stop talking about dieting for fear of someone thinking they actually don't mind their bodies the way they are.) This is not the case for our favorite crazyass fat kid ... s/he is simply dreaming of a world where s/he will alternate between Snickers bars and apples - between french fries and carrot sticks. Our fat kid loves the body s/he is in and simply wants to ... well ... be someone that can juggle popcorn balls and not have them all eaten by the third rotation.

demystification = me taking my power back from the hollow promises of this journal.

moron = me actually believing a computer can talk, reason, make promises.

done = me.

p.s.
delightfully dramatic dyketrannywadfag = me again.

The Dallas Morning News published something that brought me to tears today. It's a product in tabloid format (only meaning it was printed and folds like the National Enquirer) and stuffed between the Metro and Guide Live sections of the paper. The name of this publication is "Be Who You Are" and it's a celebration of National Coming Out Day. It's an entire twenty-six page publication, separate from the paper, that has stories about gay folks, gay entertainment, gay shops, gay advertisers ... gay gay gay. When I bought the paper at the single copy stand, I thumbed through it like Charlie looking for his golden fucking ticket (they didn't include it in our office copies) and when I saw it, I seriously started to cry and had a hard time stopping. It's fucking amazing. Tasteful. Refined. Real. Real gay people dealing with real issues and living real lives.

P.S. There is a great story about the Dallas Rage included, too.

P.P.S. I know there is still a lot of work to do ... don't get me wrong ... but a publication like this in a Dallas newspaper? A Texas newspaper? Yeah. I can't help but be optimistic.
